In the wake of a nationwide Lockdown to curb the spread of corona virus, concerns have been raised about daily-wage Labours of Slum Area getting robbed of their incomes due to a sudden lack of work. While shops providing only e like essential items like Groceries have been allowed to remain open, the daily incomes of street hawkers, rickshaw pullers and Slum laborers are likely to dry up. On taking in mind of this critical situation, Jan Vikas mission Trust & its team decided to distributed Food/Ration to these Daily Wage Labour on 27 March 2020, Friday.
This program was started about at 1:00 pm and was ended about at 3:00 pm. There were about 50 – 60 families included in this Slum Area, which include 200 – 250 persons. All the tenants were happily received their Ration Kit. “We feel that as human beings, it’s our responsibility to help the most vulnerable amongst us in their time of need”.
